    Ant Hill Northern Nigeria

    Dear Tunde,

Little ants no bigger than this xxx make these big heaps of earth. They mix their earth with their spit & build these houses. Paul will tell you about the "queen" who lives underground.

    Dear Tunde,

These men standing on the grass are soldiers. Their trousers are short because it is hot here.

    Dear Tunde,

Guess what that hill is made of? Bags - yes but what is inside them? Peanuts! Enough to keep you eating for all your life.

    Riverside dwellings west Africa

    Dear Tunde,

Can you see the ducks in this picture? Count them how many are there?  I can see six. These houses are built on stilts so that the floor is out of the water. Babies must be careful not to fall into the water.

Plaza and Pyramid of the moon, Teotihuacan, Mexico

    Dear Tunde,

I have never been so impressed by anciant monuments as here. The scale and conception is far beyond my expectations. I am having each night to read up on the history to get the meanings and sequence of developments. the pity is that out of the week I have only two days to sightsee - The rest being conference.

    Love Peter
